Choi's Dance Studio
Choi's Dance Studio is proud to be one of Auckland's leading K-pop dance studios, where students can experience K-pop culture, express themselves, and can find community through both performance and training.
While K-pop is at the hear of our Studio, we also offer hip-hop and choreography classes, allowing students to explore broader trends in dance and experience the joy of the movement through music.
Why K-POP?
At Choi's Dance Studio, students can learn, enjoy, express and perform K-pop culture. K-pop is not just about dance - it's a global phenomenon that builds confidence and self-expression, which are at the heart of every class.
With choreography created in collaboration with some of the world's top choreographers, K-pop offers a unique opportunity to experience the latest trends in global dance while developing individual style and stage presence.
Professional class
Our Professional class includes both a K-pop cover team and a Hip-hop crew. All crews are focused on taking dance skills to the next level through intensive training in a disciplined and goal-oriented environment.
All crews participate in more performances, competitions, and video productions, with a strong emphasis on precision, stage presence and teamwork.
We are committed to helping each dancer achieve their full potential and produce their best possible outcome - on stage and beyond.
All crews are selected through annual auditions held at the end of each year, and only selected students are eligible to participate.
K-POP auditions
At Choi's Dance Studio, we go beyond just teaching K-pop, we help open real doors to the K-pop industry. We are committed to supporting students who dream of pursuing a career in the K-pop industry
Through our strong connections with entertainment companies in Korea, we are proud to offer our students exclusive audition opportunities. These includes:
- In-studio Auditions
We host official auditions from Korean entertainment companies right here at our Studio.
- Online Audition Submissions
We offer students the chance to audition online by submitting dance videos directly to Korean agencies through our connections.
- Audition Preparation Support
For students aiming to audition, we provide guidance on performance selection, training, and how to present themselves professionally to agencies.
71 dance camp
One of the most exciting opportunities we offer at Choi's Dance Studio is the chance to participate in the 71 Dance Camp in Korea.
Over the past few years, our studio director and several students have attended this international program - gaining not only valuable experience and intensive training, but also unforgettable memories.
71 Dance Camp features workshops led by famous choreographers and dancers in Korea, giving participants the chance to learn directly from some of the industry's best.
In addition, the camp hosts auditions with a wide range of top K-pop entertainment companies and dance agencies, providing a rare and meaningful opportunity to take a step closer to the professional stage.
